Jose G. Sosa Jr FNP-C is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 8 years of Emergency Medicine experience. He has also worked in the capacity of hospitalist over the valley for adult and pediatric medicine. He attended University of Texas San Antonio and San Antonio College of Nursing. He received his Bachelors of Science in Nursing from University of Texas Brownsville, and completed his Masters of Science of nursing with emphasis in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Texas Pan America. He graduated with Honors from Golden key international honor society, and Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing. He was introduced to the Marquis National Who’s Who in 2020-2021. He has worked extensively in emergency medicine even as a nurse in several emergency room from San Antonio down to the Rio Grande Valley, and several years as a flight nurse serving the lower valley. He has always been passionate about emergency medicine and the challenges it brings. He is one of the founding members of Advanced Urgent Brownsville, and Weslaco and continues to strive to provide excellent care to his native community. “ De la gente, Para la gente!”

Edgar E Garcia MPAS PA-C is a physician associate with over 8 years of experience in Emergency Medicine. He also has experience with pediatrics, internal medicine, and pain management. Mr. Garcia was born and raised in Brownsville, TX, and is proud alumni of BISD. He graduated from The University of Texas at Brownsville with a degree in biology and cum laude honors. He then obtained a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Pan American, where he graduated at the top of his class with Summa Cum Laude honors and Pi Alpha National Honor Society selection. He also completed clinical rotation in GI medical oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Edgar is passionate about serving the community that saw him grow up and is giving back as much as possible. He is one of the founders of Advanced Urgent Care in Brownsville, Texas, which opened its doors in May 2020. Advanced Urgent Care has been providing medical care to the community of Brownsville and Weslaco for the past three years and through the Pandemic.

Yadira Perez graduated from The University of Texas Pan American with her Bachelors Degree in Biology, and a Physicians Assistant Masters Degree in 2003. She has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner for over 10 years and enjoys traveling, trying new types of cuisine and the outdoors.
